MT
showered and had a late breakfast (12€) at Hostal
La Cruz.
MT
spent the day in Muxía, visiting the beach, dipping her feet and legs in, and
did part of the boardwalk two Irish ladies told her about. They also left her a
beach towel, since they were returning home that day.
Around
12:30, MT walked up to Monte Corpiño
for the mirador (scenic overlook) of
the seacoast; a lady at a lace expo said MT absolutely had to go there. She
also visited the lighthouse and Santuario de Nuestra Señora da Barca (Sanctuary
of the Virgin of the Boat), which had burned and was being restored. She also
saw the stone sculpture A Ferida (The Wound). [Her photos of these are merged
with those we both took on September 28.] However, she never located the
magical stones.
MT
went to the Tourist Office to get information on busses, mass, and Vigo. She stopped
at A de Lolo – Hotel de Encanto and told an Italian waiter to be on the lookout
for Don. Then she bought fruit and yogurts at a tienda.
When
MT returned to Hostal La Cruz, around 3 pm, the owner made her 1st course: caldo gallego, 2nd course: merluza (cooked, not fried), and desert:
apple tart, with the last half to the bottle of wine from the previous night.
MT 3:15 PM – Muxía: apple tarta.
Sitting
on the bed and looking out at the Atlantic Ocean was neat.
Around
8 pm, MT went to the Igrexa parroquial
de Santa María do Muxía for
mass. It was a very small church, with windows set deep in stone. [Her photos
of the church interior are integrated with photos for September 28, when both
Don and MT went there for mass.]
MT 8:32 PM – Muxía: harbor near sunset.
MT 8:35 PM – Muxía: harbor lights near sunset.

Corpiño at sunset.
